Just published a Cook Book
A new digitized full color Cook Book from 1973 when 72 military wives in Heidelberg Germany put together 374 of their "favorites". The recipes are all the originals and did not change, but over 1,000 pictures, food quotes and facts with stories and jokes for the whole family have been added - 172 pages of pure fun. See www.haroldhester.com and open the Book Page, or order directly from here using the Orange button just below the cover on the left of this screen.

Paducah Show
This year I was honored to share a week with five wonderful ladies from the Osage Beach Missouri area. We loaded into two SUVs and headed east to Paducah. Accommodations was a huge condo only a short drive from all the action. We each had our own rooms and privacy, if needed. Our weather was great for the whole Monday thru Friday events and we shopped, went sight-seeing, shopped, chatted, ogled, shopped most of all waking hours. Did I mention we did some shopping? Both SUVs luckily had overload rear springs to carry the extra weight of the tons of new materials we found with our names on them and “just couldn’t live without”. The bank account suffered, my credit cards had to be replaced as I melted three – BUT I would do it again in a heart-beat… and already looking forward to next year.

Ozark Hills Quilt Guild
March 12th - As promised, the new lake Guild met the second Tuesday of the month. It's normal to say the meeting was fun, entertaining, enjoyable, etc.etc... and - it was. Where else can you have so much fun for only $15 annual fees. Speaking of fees, the guild now has 15 paid-in-full members. Carrie Johnson is your new president. Consider this a "heads-up" for more colorful and exciting quilting news - from the Lake.

The wheels are in motion
The meeting was held with what looks to be a great start for a new Guild at the Lake. The new Guild formed with 18 charter members. Our monthly meetings will be the Second Tuesday of each month always at 6:30PM at the "Circle of Friends" quilt shop. Order of business for March, right now, will be getting to know each other and considering Election of Officers and chatting about what the Guilt will be all about. Bring your own name tag - How will you know who you are if you don't have a name tag? Right now, questions should be addressed to Patti Hill 573-348-2550.
